Vida "Beverly" Abel of Cornelius died Aug. 6, 2008, at age 85. Vida Kinney was born June 21, 1921, in Prosser, Wash. A homemaker, she moved to Portland in 1986 and then settled in Cornelius. In 1943, she married Richard R. Abel; he died in 1972.
