Comedy family matriarch dies at 94
Estelle Reiner, who as the wife of Carl Reiner and the mother of Rob Reiner was the matriarch of one of the leading families in American comedy, and who delivered one of the most memorably funny lines in movie history, died Oct. 25 at her home in Beverly Hills, Calif. She was 94.

Edna Riddle
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, in University Park United Methodist Church in Portland for Edna Riddle, who died Oct. 25 at age 90.

Gregory Carl Goss
A gathering will be at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, in the Starbucks at the Oregon City Shopping Center for Gregory Carl Goss, who died Oct. 25 at age 57.

John Dalen Craig
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in New Heights Church in Vancouver for John Dalen Craig, who died Oct. 24 at age 57.

Kerry Douglas LaFord
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, in Omega Funeral & Cremation Service for Kerry Douglas LaFord, who died Oct. 31 at age 59.

Leo L. Allen
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, in Mt. Scott Funeral Home for Leo L. Allen, who died Nov. 1 at age 86.

Lorraine Anderson
A gathering will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, in the Ambassador Business Center, 7515 N.E. Ambassador Place, Suite C, for Lorraine Anderson, who died Oct. 26 of lung cancer at age 78.

Martha Louise Amo
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, in Light of Light Lutheran Church in Aloha for Martha Louise Amo of Beaverton, who died Oct. 14 of cancer at age 73.

Muir made mark as 'Howdy Doody' honcho
E. Roger Muir, who helped create and was executive producer of "The Howdy Doody Show," the puppet-and-people program that first hooked millions of kids on television in its early days, died Oct. 23 near his home in Wolfeboro, N.H. Muir, who went on to produce other successful shows, including the game show "Concentration," was 89.

P. Cameron DeVore helped media law flourish
P. Cameron DeVore, an attorney who helped establish the field of media law and was one of the first to argue successfully that advertising is a form of protected speech, died Sunday at his home on Lopez Island, near Seattle. He was 76.

Ray E. Boyer
Ray E. Boyer died Oct. 23 at age 64.

Richard Denner
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in Holman's Funeral Service for Richard Denner, who died Oct. 30 at age 83.

Robert Henderson
A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, in Grace Presbyterian Church for Robert "Bob" Henderson of Happy Valley, who died Oct. 28 at age 83.

Terry Haynes
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, in Peninsula Church of Christ in Portland for Terry Haynes of Portland, who died Oct. 29 of injuries from a traffic accident at age 53.

Wendy Mallonee
Wendy Mallonee died Oct. 17, 2008, at age 40.
