Open Question: Gordon says we will fight? Top
Mandelson says if he can come back so can Labour Well nobody looked or sounded very convincing to me or was this we are just going through the motions for the party faithful?

Open Question: Panic over Question Time? Top
Nich Griffin's planned appearance on QT is causing the lefties to go into a proper hissy fit. Peter Hain in desperate meetings with BBC bosses to try and fix the audience, Riots planned by UAF and Islamic Extremists outside the studio, and demonstrations planned inside the studio. Why are they so scsared of the BNP? Surely if the BNP are as bad as they all claim, then allowing them to speak would be the best way to beat them? Give them enough rope to hang themselves, so to speak? Thanks to all for answering, but where do the BNP say they will hang anyone? If the panelists use made up accusations like that, they will make the BNP look much better. Do you see the point I am getting at? If you want to show how bad you think the BNP are you need to try and use properly constructed arguments, not silly insults or accusations. And then if the BNP do not have any properly constructed arguments of their own, the damage done to them will be much greater than that done to them by a few idiotic lefties hurling accusations that nobody actually believes. Otter - I agree with you to a degree, but being a good orator is not the same has having a strong argument and the ability to back that up. Hitler didn't have anyone to question him, he did away with them before making any of his big speeches.

Open Question: speeding ticket fears-sensible answers please? Top
about 6 weeks ago i was driving my car down a country road that went from 60mph to 30, i was breaking to comply with the speed limit and went over a small bridge, still breaking my car was going at around 35mph. when i came down the bridge there was a sign saying "speed limit checks" and a camera with a tripod just behind it. there were two men sitting on the other side of the road, neither were paying any attention. the two men there were not police and i found it very odd that a possible temporary speed camera was around just below the bottom of a bridge which would inevitably make a car go faster due to it going downhill...altho i am making no excuses the DVLA currently do not have a relevant adress for me due to the fact that i have been having housing problems after having to leave the past address and move back to my parents so havent had a secure and reliable address untill recently. i have asked the landlord to look for any post at my past address in case a speeding ticket has been sent there but havent heard from him yet! im seriously concerned that ive been given a speeding ticket and have delayed in paying it due to my address being wrong does anyone know the following; what is the time in which you must pay a speeding fine? is there any other way of finding out if i was given a speeding ticket? what should i do? im really worried and very anxious about this so please help

Open Question: Is it a fact that Britain took in its first foreigner in May 1997? Top
I believe that before this time, not one person of foreign blood ever stepped foot in the UK, let alone settled here, is this correct?

Open Question: So the gutter rag publication "The Sun" Backs the Eton elitist and his schoolboy chancellor.? Top
That fact alone will give me the incentive to make sure that everybody I know is persuaded to vote Labour. I will make sure I get at least 40 people to vote for Labour next year. This will counteract the maggot brains who actually have the stupidity to pick up "The Sun" and actually pay money for it.

Open Question: what is the THE MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK REGULATIONS (1999) -? Top
Need 2 know it

Open Question: Am I legally obliged to delete informations about a company from my website if the business owner asks me to? Top
I have a UK website offering informations about other businesses in the UK. A business owner just asked me to withdraw all details about his company from my site but I feel I shouldn't have to. Am I obliged to delete pictures and description about his business under UK law?

Open Question: Why should citizens be concerned about the rise of multi national companies? Top
I need 4 facts and reason why citizens should be concerned

Open Question: Why does Brown say "we can win without the Sun" when they would not win with it? Top
"Prime minister downplays tabloid's decision to abandon Labour as he rules out standing down before next election" http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/sep/30/brown-sun-backs-tories-labour

Open Question: Any statistics on the number of rape victims who are then murdered? Top
links to government sites would eb appreciated. I want to find out how many rape victims are murdered after their rape and who is more likely to be murdered after the incident. I found plenty of statistics of who is likely to be raped in the first place but finding out how many and who are murdered afterwards is more difficult

Open Question: sorry am i missing the point with government drive to get people back to work? Top
Sorry but in times of affluence none such schemes were in force , now we find ourselves in somewhat harder time to find employment , where people are being layed off not employed the DWP pushes people to find work with expensive schemes . Dont get me wrong im all for people working and not spending their lives on benefits ,its just the timing of these ideas which is somewhat questionable .One of the biggest hurdles that unemployed people find the crux between being employed or not is council tax , the fact that councils are ruthless in the collection of it often being completely uncooperative in any form and happy to have the debtor hounded by bailiffs and court action and even imprisonment , is enough to prevent unemployed people taking a job . If the job in question is so close to a threshold of not being able to pay bills council tax is the one that hurts the most . Now i know that you can get help with this by partial benefit , but what is the point in taking money with one hand and giving it back with another ? Surely this is demoralising for the individual by way that having found work they are still dependent on benefit ?

Open Question: what sentences can you be charged in uk and us? Top

Open Question: If Polanski is freed, should all rapists be freed if they hide in another country for a long time? Top
Or does this movement to free Polanski just apply to Polanski ? Arlanymor. he was charged and convicted of statuatory rape

Open Question: "I would stand on the side of the Freikorp."? Top
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuKCJFsR9FFpUmMf0qU1ECIhBgx.;_ylv=3?qid=20090927121510AAXEuZ1 So our chum NLV said the other day... The Freikorp of course were early Nazi's.. many of them ended up as Generals in Hitlers SS. I'm glad NLV has come clean about being a Nazi... ... any more of you BNP/EDL/etc. etc. supporters got the guts to admit it too?

Open Question: Anyone else not listening to the No campaign lies and voting Yes in Lisbon? Top
What lies and scare mongering of the YES campaign All opposition parties except Sinn Fein and the socalist party are supporting the treaty, all major business and workers union support the treaty, Intel and Ryanair support the treaty. So are there really going to vote No because of what Sinn Fein says, if we listened to Sinn Fein we would never of entered the E.U and we would be like Iceland at the moment going begging to Russia and the IMF. Remeber, these people said the Nice treaty was going to give us abortion, CONSCRIPTION to an E.U army, Also if we vote No we lose our commisioner The current framework in place is for a 15 member union, if you haven't noticed there are 27 countries in the E.U., also if we vote Yes we actually have more say per head of population than Germany. Oh, really the E.U doesn't give a sh&t about Ireland that would explain why we've got 60 billion of the E.U, to develop infrastructure consumer protection rights, free movement of people, the E.C.B agreeing to fund NAMA, cheaper flights, the Over 2 billion of EU funding for farming each year, 430 companis from the EU setting up here, America viewing Ireland as a gateway into the EU, Including Ireland in the Euro even when it was the poor boy of europe giving it a stable currency and reducing business cost, Erasmus exchange programme, support for the North's peace process, reducing red tape by 25% by 2012, availing help of other EU embassies abroad, combating international crime, european arrest warrants, gaining equal rights for all in the work place, enhancing data protection, Ensuring Health and Safety at Work, Setting High Environmental Standards, Developing our Renewable Energy Sources, European Health Card, Reduced Mobile Phone Roaming Charges, EU Blacklist of Unsafe Airlines Ban on Cosmetic Testing on Animals If we vote No we will not be kicked out of Europe, the Yes campaign has never said we'll be kicked out of Europe, also it has been confirmed we will face a higher interest rate for the Irish Government to borrow money on international markets if we vote no

Open Question: Question about Muslim demonstrators?? Top
I love in London and when I was walking down Wood Green, there were hundreds of Muslims with banners and what not. Some on them said stuff like 'Jesus was a Muslim' 'Thank Allah for 9/11'. If they were to do that sh*t in America there would be a riot. Why do we (British) have to put up with it just to be 'Politically Correct'? *I live in London (lol) dylanfox - I do believe in free speech. But thanking Allah for something so horrible is wrong. Do you think all those people deserved to die?

Open Question: What is the law regarding downloading films & TV episodes? Top
What do you believe the law is on this, and can you give any reputable links that verify the law? I understand it: Films: Downloading - Illegal, Selling Downloaded versions - Illegal TV: Downloading - Legal, Selling Downloaded versions - Illegal Is that correct ^ in the UK. Also please state you location, as I hear there are very lax laws in sweden on piracy!

Open Question: Brown to get rid of hereditary HoL? Top
Brown announced in his speech yesterday that the Labour party would get rid of the hereditary peers in the House of Lords. He did not say, however, that it would be replaced with an elected body, suggesting that it will remain a House populated by the politicians, not the people. Would you support a House full of people put there by politicians, or would you rather a fully elected house, or even a totally different system?

Open Question: Do people even realise what a Tory Government would do to this Country? Top
Don't get me wrong Labour are useless on a lot of things, but Gordon Brown has his head screwed on about the Economy. The Tories just want to cut everything, which could possibly push us back in to Recession or even a Depression. I will be Voting Labour to save the Royal Navy and British Shipbuilding Industry, because if the Aircraft Carriers get Cut,won't be much point in having a Navy anymore. The Tories will be the only Government in the world to CUT whilst in a Recession,Everyone knows that you have to Invest so growth can occur when the Economy picks up. We actually have the of the lowest Debts out of all the Major Countries,Unemployment is at 7% in all other Major Countries it has exceeded 10%. The Tories have only promised a Referendum on the Lisbon Treaty because they know by the time they are in power,it will of been ratified. Conservative number one priority is to Cut inheritance tax which only benefits about 5% of the population.....Hmm let me guess is that the Rich percentage of the Population by any chance? Oh well doesn't really matter, they have it in the bag now The Sun are backing them, all the Fickle Sheep are going to be told what to do. What do you think about us sleepwalking in to a Tory Britain? Cockney Al - France are building our Warships? that is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. They are been built in Britain. Here are all the contractors building them not one of them is French. http://www.bvtsurfacefleet.com/bvt/products/aircraftcarrier/ http://www.thalesgroup.com/Press_Releases/NL_Press_Release_S1850M_on_CVF_11_Feb_2009/?pid=1717 http://www.baesystems.com/ProductsServices/autoGen_106920111951.html http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/operations-and-support/surface-fleet/future-ships/queen-elizabeth-class/facts-and-figures/ Designing and building the ships is expected to sustain and create some 10,000 jobs across the UK throughout its design and manufacture. At the peak of assembly, over a thousand personnel are expected to be engaged on QE Class at each of the yards at Govan, Barrow, Rosyth and Portsmouth.

Open Question: What do you think about international crime? Top

Open Question: How does the country get out of debt ? Top
The government over the years has indirectly virtually shut down all our manufacturing capabilities and has encouraged people to sit down behind a desk doing IT etc., where will our productivity come from to create the money to get us out of debt without the goverment raising our taxes significantly ??? We are becoming a country that buys from abroad and just adds on our %, we used to be a country that manufactured, we are becoming a country of computer nerds with no other skills, what does the future hold ?!??!? UK sorry, the US still has a massive manufacturing base

Open Question: Is there any point in railroading politicians into pointless televised election "debates"? Top
We all know Sky's "debate" will actually be nothing more than rehearsed soundbites. Why are Sky so obsessed with trying to railroad Gordon Brown into taking part in this farce? And why were the other two so quick to jump on this bandwagon? Are the manifestos and election addresses no longer considered to be debate? I trust this more than seeing them on television lining up to insult each other and give rehearsed answers. Suppose we could go forward to 2014 or 2015. If Cameron happens to win in 2010, you can bet he won't want any debate in future - just as Major didn't, just as Thatcher didn't.

Open Question: Mandelson - beneficial or detrimental to labout? Top
I think It's generally agreed that Mandy is a skilled spin doctor, a manipulator and an excellent 'politician'. However, many people see him as creepy, sly, hypocritical and not really trustworthy...... a Machiavelli character. Does he attract more people to Labour than he repels? Has the Labour party really learned to love him? Or do they tolerate him, for the time being? Labout..... whoops freudian slip? or just 'fat fingers'

Open Question: If I must resign myself to a Tory government, may I be the first to say...? Top
"Get Cameron Out!" and "Get Johnson In." (Alan, not Boris).

Open Question: LABOUR stalwarts?, do you honestly think New Laour will ever be in power again after the debacle they have? Top
Let happen to this once proud country of ours!, not the Tories! all for one, the rich! or the not sure, Liberals!!, but the once party of the people?, or am I being to harsh,? as a FORMER labourite...And yes I do think we! have been let down....

Open Question: I have dual nationality, can I then declare bankruptcy, move to the Us and join the US military? Top

Open Question: Can an emegency resident order be aranged if a resident order is already in place? How long does an ERO take? Top

Open Question: Employment Laws (UK)? Top
Can you be 'let go' because of a high record of absence whether they were covered by a sick note or unauthorised? Thanks in advance for answers

Open Question: Will Cameron resign when he leads the Tories to a fourth successive defeat? Top
Dave walks warily down the street With his brim pulled way down low Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet Machine guns ready to go. Hugh Gaitskell - the first man to suggest reforming Clause IV - he would have been the Tony Blair of his day. Sadly he died before the 1964 election. Labour is corrupt? At least Prezza only claimed for a bog seat. Who was it who claimed for a duck house, a portico, and the moat cleaning? BNP and UKIP will combine to cost the Tories seats. The Tories need to be the only right wing option, but they aren't. Maybe the 3% BNP and 7% UKIP votes in a seat are enough to leave the Tory candidate a few votes short of a majority.

Open Question: coming back to UK after leaving debts behind...? Top
Hey...please don't judge, I need a serious answer. I left just over two yrs ago to be with the love of my life, but couldn't pay my debts..cca 8000 pounds. And I need to go back to the UK for funeral, but am worried that if warrant has been issued they might stop me at the airport. Do they actually do that?? I didn't run from the debts....I left to be with my man and just didn't have money to pay it off.
