His companion, Roberta Moore, also died in the crash. • Norma Rae Knodel A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in River View Cemetery for Norma Rae Knodel of Milwaukie, who died Sept. 6 of complications of cancer at age 72. • Raisa Avakyan Raisa Avakyan of Beaverton died Aug. 27, 2008, at age 88. Raisa Terziyev was born Sept. 16, 1919, in Ukraine, where she worked as a military nurse. She moved to Portland in 1992. In 1943 she married Sergey Avakyan; he died in 1977. • Stanley E. Danill Stanley E. Danill of Oregon City died Sept. 3, 2008, at age 85. • Wilbert D. LyDay A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, in Sharon Seventh-day Adventist Church for Wilbert D. LyDay of Portland, who died Sept. 1 at age 55. • Zoe Blanche Lindland A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in Smyrna United Church of Christ in Canby for Zoe Blanche Lindland, who died Sept. 6 at age 97.
