Nick Reynolds, Kingston Trio harmonizer
Nick Reynolds, a founding member of the Kingston Trio whose smooth tenor and gift for harmonizing helped propel the group to worldwide fame in the folk-music revival of the late 1950s and early '60s, died Wednesday in San Diego. He was 75 and lived in Coronado, Calif.

Poet Hayden Carruth preferred quiet, rural life
Hayden Carruth, an editor, critic and poet who earned recognition late in his 50-year writing career for powerful work that explored the struggles, loves and desires of people who made their living with their hands, as he did for two decades, has died. He was 87.

Walter R. Baker
A gathering will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in his Beaverton home for Walter R. Baker, who died Sept. 29 of multiple sclerosis at age 75.
