He graduated from Ridgefield High School and moved to Sandy in 1954. He was a farmer and logger. In 1962, he married Marjorie Hadaway; she died in 2002. • Harold Pietz A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, in Trinity Lutheran Church in Gresham for Harold Pietz, who died Sept. 18 at age 85. • Irma Haugen Irma Haugen of Milwaukie died Sept. 16, 2008, at age 88. • Lawrence Lowe Lawrence Lowe died Sept. 12, 2008, at age 65. • Lucille Irene Gilman Lucille Irene Gilman of Milwaukie died Sept. 17, 2008, at age 58. • Michael Jesse Hickman A gathering will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, in the Hillsboro home of Michael Jesse Hickman, who died Sept. 16 at age 62. • Michael Westwood A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, in Adams Chapel in River View Cemetery for Michael Westwood, who died Sept. 17 at age 69. • Robert J. Hower A funeral will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, in Sandy Funeral Home for Robert J. "Red" Hower, who died Sept. 17 at age 85. • Sara Newbury Sara Newbury of Oregon City died Sept. 13, 2008, of a stroke at age 63. • TamaraLei "Kahea" Coila A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, in Taft Pioneer Cemetery in Lincoln City for TamaraLei "Kahea" Coila, who died Sept. 17 of injuries from a motor vehicle accident at age 18.
